Camping: Pahalgam is superb resort where climatic conditions make summer
ideal for tent life. The pahalgam and Aru meadows offer numerous camping sites amidst pine
forest, other places suitable for camping are Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Yusmarg. Equipment can be
hires easily.
Fishing: Trout,
both brown and rainbow, mahaseer and carp are found in rivers, streams and lakes that form
a web spreading to all areas in the state. The fishing area have been divided in 61 beats.

provide a list of recommended equipment and information relating to fishing.

Pahalgam has streches available for white water rafting. Equipment for rafting and
canoeing is imported and safe for rafting and canoeng.

excellent place for water sports like water skiing, boating and swimming
Winter Sports: Gulmarg is
best suited for winter sports like Skiing, as it has the worlds best slopes. Gulmarg also
offers heli skiing. Every winter Skiing coaching is conducted. Skiing equipment is
available at Gulmarg on rent.
Other activities: The
location of a flat valley surrounded by high mountains is an ideal terrain for hang
gliding, Gulmarg is the ideal place to try hang gliding.
